Whether you hail from Irish roots or not, St. Patrick’s Day has become a fun celebration with plenty of traditional Irish fare, music and dancing. We’ve gathered a list of happening spots to celebrate this year – from pubs to restaurants to family friendly activities. So put on your green and head into MontCo for St. Paddy’s Day fun.

The Annual Saint Patrick’s Parade in Conshohocken will take place on March 16 with a 2 pm start at 11th and Fayette Streets. This community event is the only St. Patrick’s Day parade in Montgomery County. Restaurants and pubs line the one mile parade route. Upwards of 20,000 usually attend. Get a start on the fun by checking out the Irish Coffee Night held at the AOH, where local restaurants compete for the best Irish Coffee.

Sly Fox’s Beer Boot Camp ends on St. Patrick’s Day with the selection of a winner from the pool of participants in the 10-week event. Grand prize is a trip to Ireland. Other prizes available throughout the party and drawings take place at both locations.

St. Patrick’s Day Weekend Celebration – March 15-17

Irish dance groups, live music and late-nite dancing in the pub are key features. A $15 General Admission bracelet gives you access to activities on both weekend days. All Day Irish Fun & Feasting – March 17

Kids’ St. Patrick’s Day Hike and Treasure Hunt – March 17
Lock 60 at Schuylkill Canal Park

Hikers will meet in the parking lot behind the Pickering Creek Inn at 1 p.m. Walk across the bridge, over the Schuylkill River, and down the towpath to Lock 60 to participate in a kids’ treasure hunt in the grove. Enjoy Irish and folk music at the Lock tender’s house and light refreshments. Free for kids 10 and under with adult supervision. Pre-registration is requested by contacting the site. Weather permitting.
The Great Narberth Leprechaun Hunt – March 16 from 1pm – 4pm
Downtown Narberth at the corner of Haverford and Forrest Ave.
Kids start at the Blarney Booth located on the corner of Haverford and Forrest Aves to pick up a game card, clues and plastic pot of gold collection pot. Then they frolic with their parents through downtown Narberth searching through quaint shops and restaurants to find leprechauns and some of their golden coins. Find 10 leprechauns, collect 10 chocolate coins and turn them in for 1 shiny gold dollar! Hosted by the Narberth Business Association, this event is free.
