The Montgomery County Planning Commission is working on making the county a better place to bike.

On Wednesday, June 20, they will be holding a meeting titled Bike Montco: Building a Bike-Friendly Montgomery County. The meeting will focus on how to make the community safer and more attractive to bicyclists. During this free seminar, several speakers will share their expertise on topics including how to plan safer bicycle infrastructure along with roads, trail development, and bicyclist safety education and encouragement strategies for new riders.

The presentations will highlight recommendations in the new Bike Montco plan, which is expected to be adopted in 2018. This seminar, which is being co-sponsored by the Montgomery County Planning Commission and the Delaware Valley Regional Planning Commission, is intended for municipal staff, transportation professionals, planners, and school districts, but everyone is welcome.

The free the community session will be held at Montgomery County Community College at on 340 DeKalb Pike, 101 College Drive, Blue Bell, PA.
