For those who love to experience trendy flavors and learn about new cooking products Oaks, PA is the place to be on Fri., Dec 1 through Sun., Dec. 3 as two food events hit the Philadelphia Expo Center. Festival goers will find everything from coffee and baked goods to pickles and beer grained dog treats. Check out the details below:

Coffee & Tea Festival

Sat., Dec 2 – 10 am to 5 pm
Sun., Dec 3 – 10 am to 4 pm

Explore the wares offered by 50+ vendors as they serve up freshly brewed cups of tea and coffee for tasting. Food items and vendors will be on hand to offer suitable sweet and savory pairings as well. See new products that are available to make your own perfect cup at home. Two free seminars will be offered each day. Learn about the unique flavor of Pu’er tea, explore the island of Sri Lanka where Ceylon tea is grown or discover how to improve your mind and body with tea-based cosmetics or incorporating mindfulness principles represented in a cup of tea.

A special feature of the event is a collection drive for Cups for Education. The non-profit works with Recycling for Charities to collect and recycle used, wireless computer devices. Proceeds are then given to Cups for Education which supports education efforts in coffee producing villages throughout rural Central and Latin America by providing much needed school supplies and facilities. Bring your used small electronics such as cell phones, Ipods, tablets or laptops to contribute to this effort.

Tickets for the event are $20 per day and can be purchased in advance online here. Children under 12 are free. The first 500 people in the door will also receive a shopping bag to use for all your purchases.

Eat This Drink That – food & drink festival

Fri., Dec. 1 – 6 pm to 10 pm
Sat., Dec. 2 – 12 pm to 4 pm

This over 21 only (valid photo ID required) event is a food and beverage tasting experience and opportunity to shop for all the food and craft beverage aficionados on your holiday list! Enjoy samplings from over 75 vendors as they pour wine, craft beer, mead and cider and serve up tasty baked goods, cheeses, gluten free and vegan products and chocolate. Even beer grain treats will be available for your dog.

Local Chefs will be on hand each day to present tips and information on their area of specialty. Some topics include sushi, Christmas cookie decorating, the science in food trends, classic French techniques and Soul food. A complete listing of seminars and vendors is available at the event website.

Tickets to this event are limited to allow free movement between vendors and are specific to the day. Tickets are priced at $60 and are available online here. Price includes all the vendor samplings, attendance at the seminars and a souvenir tasting glass.
