Last year Montco Happening was honored to help share the mission of James Sanken, a local resident who inspired us with his pursuit to help bring clean drinking water to a community half way across the world. We recently sat down to catch up with James and are happy to report that the Foundation which he helped create, The Shepherd’s Village, continues to change the lives and shape the futures of the Maasai tribe in Kenya, one of Africa’s most recognized and respected tribal communities. In two years time and with the support of friends, local organizations, groups and community members, the Shepherd’s Village Foundation has not only brought clean drinking water to the community, they have also provided life saving knowledge and health care in the process. Below you will find more information on the Shepherds’ Village Foundation including our first article and photo recap of their most recent achievements.
