*A New Mother’s Day Tradition Begins in Chalfont, Pa., to Support Local Craftsmen*
Byers’ Choice Ltd., makers of the handcrafted Caroler figurines, will support others in the trade by hosting a weekend-long Craft Show on May 12th from 10 a.m.—5 p.m. and May 13th from 10 a.m.—4:30 p.m. The event, which will feature 70 artisans and premiere craftsmen, will be held at the company’s Bucks County workshop.
The inaugural event will feature some of the most talented craftsmen in the region, spotlighting a variety of handmade items from traditional crafts to modern creations. The artisans were selected through a jury process. All of the crafts that will be sold at the event are handmade and original creations.
Joyce Byers, a mother of two, started creating Byers’ Choice Carolers as a craft hobby more than 30 years ago at her dining room table. As an artisan who started showcasing her talents at local craft shows, and eventually grew her business into a nationally recognized brand, it’s important to Joyce to be able to highlight and support other craftsmen in the region.
“As a company based on the values of handcrafted items, we couldn’t be more excited to host this one-of-a-kind Craft Show,” said Joyce Byers, founder, designer and mom of Byers’ Choice. “We know the love and dedication that goes into the pieces that will be on display and we’re eager to highlight some of the best artisans. It will be a great way for people to spend Mother’s Day Weekend.”
Byers’ Choice has grown to become one of the largest producers of Christmas decorations made in the United States, employing more than 80 artisans. The Byers family has been honored for their support of the crafts industry as well as their local and regional business leadership.
