Now that we’re in the final weeks of summer before school’s back in session, you might feel the clock ticking to fit in all that the season has to offer. Here’s our list of must-dos before fall is here:
Eat Ice Cream
Is it even summer if you don’t eat ice cream? While there are plenty of chain ice cream shops in the area, be sure to try out the special, privately own stores throughout the county for truly great ice cream. You’ll find some of the best hand-dipped cones at Nelson’s Ice Cream in Royersford (Happening List Winner for Best Ice Cream), Coventry Parlor at Laurel Locks outside Pottstown and at Merrymead Farm in Lansdale.
Attend an Outdoor Concert
Music and summer nights just go together. From wineries to community ampitheaters, there are plenty of opportunities in MontCo to catch some outdoor entertainment. Here are a few coming up:

35th Annual Concert Under the Stars Series

Norristown Summer Concert Series: The Morning After

Watch a Movie Under the Stars
While you’ll be hard-pressed to find a drive-in movie theater these days, MontCo still offers ways to watch a movie with your family under the stars. Here are just a few coming up:
