Fort Washington’s favorite neighborhood pub is opening up their patio to all our four legged friends on a special day this September! On Saturday, September 26th, MaGerk’s Pub & Grille in Fort Washington will host their 1st annual Mutts & Martinis event to help raise funds for Home At Last Dog Rescue. From 12pm-4pm, the outgoing staff and owners at MaGerk’s will open cater to all our residents and their furry best friends. During the 4 hour fundraiser, 15% of all sales generated on the patio will be donated directly back to the people and adoptable pets at Home At Last Dog Rescue. If that wasn’t enough to get your tail wagging, Home At Last will also have a group of adoptable pups in attendance for all our guests to meet, greet, and hopefully take home! All of these dogs are up for adoption and eagerly awaiting the chance they always deserved, a happy home!
This event will be a MaGerk’s signature “Dine & Donate” program which was created to help give back to our local fundraisers, charitable groups and organizations. Thankfully, and for what they hope is the first of many, this dine and donate program is entirely dedicated to the dogs! Our community is invited to come eat, drink, socialize and relax with their pups in a great outside atmosphere for a very genuine cause. A professional photographer will be on hand to capture all the best moments of what you and you’re pup at the restaurant! #makeitmagerks #dogdays
On top of an eclectic new menu, MaGerk’s Fort Washington will boast their unique selection of hard to find craft beers paired with an exceptional level of customer service. The day will feature giveaways, treats and prizes for categories like; Cutest Dog, Best Outfit, and Dog That Most Resembles Their Owner! We encourage all our residents to come help support one of the hardest working dog rescues in our area, while having a blast doing so!
If someone you know is looking for a new loving addition to their own family, please help share this article to raise as much awareness as we can. There are so many dogs that need to find their forever homes. Dogs that the volunteers at Home At Last Rescue will foster until they are properly placed. The dogs here deserve the extra press and attention, but so do the very people who help find them homes. This event is something that has never been done before in our area, and something that with your help, MaGerk’s will happily do year after year! To help match MaGerk’s efforts in raising support, Montco Happening will create, write and publish a featured article on any dog and the new owners who decide to adopt that day!
Rules & Regs
All dogs attending this event must play well with others, and owners are required to have them on a leash at all times. As an official “Dine & Donate” program, 15% of all money spent on the patio from 12pm-5pm will go directly to Home At Last Dog Rescue. About Home At Last Dog Rescue
The Home At Last Dog Rescue of North Wales has made it their mission to save the lives of homeless/helpless dogs by pulling them from shelters and offering them foster families until they find their much deserved, “forever home”. They provide a necessary alternative to the purchase of puppy mill and pet store dogs, thereby reducing the demand for, and ultimately, the supply of such dogs. The group of caring volunteers at Home At Last Dog Rescue are dedicated to matching each pup with the right family after the dog has been observed in a foster home. They are a group of volunteers whose goal is to save the lives of homeless dogs suffering in high-kill shelters, as well as owner-surrender dogs who need to be re-homed due to unfortunate circumstances. This not a shelter, and that’s exactly why we support them! In fact, they pull dogs from other various shelters and provide foster homes until they are adopted. Click here to learn more about their adoption process and how you can help foster or adopt a new best friend!
