For anyone interested in beautiful scenery, exercise, and supporting a great cause – the Kisses for Kyle 5K Run and Fun Stroll at Peddler’s Village is ideal! Taking place on October 15th, this event is open to runners and walkers of all ages (and even the family dog). For those out there in MontCo that have never taken the short trip to Peddler’s Village in Lahaska (close to Doylestown), this is a perfect opportunity to visit. The village consists of a large variety of boutique stores and restaurants, offering everything from home decorations to coffee and cakes. The most notable feature of this destination are its meticulously landscaped grounds that offer a picturesque setting. Fall is an especially great time of year to visit as the seasonal flowers are in bloom and scarecrows created for an annual competition line the walking paths.
Most importantly, the race will support the local Kisses for Kyle Foundation. Created in 2001, the foundation assists families in the Delaware Valley region who are battling childhood cancer. For the event, Montcohappening has partnered with our neighbors at Buckshappening to create a team and raise money for the cause. Want to participate in the race? Join the Bucks & Montco Happening Kisses for Kyle team by emailing us at info@montcohappening.com. As a member of our team, you would be free to simply show up and run/walk or help us in actively raising money for the charity, your choice. Another option if you’re feeling extra charitable & motivated to help battle childhood cancer is to start your own team! However you decide to participate, it’s sure to be a fun morning and a nice way to meet fellow members of the community. - Registration begins 7:30 am outside of Giggleberry Fair
- 5K run begins 9 am, run to take place on the outskirts of Peddler’s Village
