What’s better than a hot cup of coffee in the early morning hours? How about a hot cup of organic fair trade coffee made with fresh ingredients? If the latter sounds appealing to you, then Main Street Java in Souderton is your place. Featuring organic coffee and teas from Taylor Maid Farms, this shop puts much effort into providing it’s customers with the best java around. Main St. also offers a variety of meal items to satisfy the appetite and includes paninis, wraps, salads, pitas, and club sandwiches.
Main Street Java is located at 117 Main Street in the heart of downtown Souderton, one of Montgomery County’s designated “Classic” Towns. Occupying a historical building with a brick facade on the main drag, Main St. Java is the ideal place to stop in and take a rest while walking around town. If you are driving through town, a parking lot is conveniently situated behind the building (that’s right, no parallel parking required!)
Main St. Java is owned and operated by long time MontCo/Bucks County resident Jesse Corbett. Jesse and his wife had always wished there was a local coffee shop that offered food, great coffee, and a place to just hang out and relax. He made this dream a reality with Main St. Java.
When we visited, we found the atmosphere to be quite inviting. Unlike the typical area coffee house, Main Street was not cramped or cluttered. With high ceilings, multiple sitting areas, and good tunes playing over the sound system, we felt right at home. We also liked that fact that even though there were other customers coming and going, it didn’t seem overcrowded at any point.
Providing community events is a main focus point of the management at Main Street Java. Specifically, on Friday nights they host local musicians and bands right in their shop. During the summer, these concerts move outdoors so that spectators can enjoy the warmer weather and fresh air. Please visit the Main Street Java Website or Facebook Page for more information on musical performances as well as store specials.
