Chestnut Hill On Ice

When: Friday, February 1 from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. and Saturday, February 2 from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m.

Where: Between 7900 and 8600 blocks of Germantown Avenue, Philadelphia

Come see Chestnut Hill transformed into a winter wonderland! World-renowned ice sculptor Peter Slavin and Philadelphia’s own Ice Sculpture Philly Team will perform live ice sculpting. Ice skaters can enjoy gliding across a 960 square foot iceless rink. (Ice skating is $10 and includes complimentary refreshments at the Hot Chocolate and Maple Syrup Bar.) Get inspired for winter “glamping” by checking out the Yurt Village. Visit Friday night to see a bonfire enclosed in a column of ice! There will be warming stations with fire pits, an outdoor ice bar, food specials, shopping and more!

East Coast Reptile Super Expo

When: Saturday, February 2 from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Where: Greater Philadelphia Expo Center, 100 Station Avenue, Oaks

This family-friendly Reptile Expo will have thousands of reptiles to choose your new scaly friend, including snakes, frogs, lizards, chameleons, geckos and more! All the supplies, feeder insects, and knowledge you need to care for your new friend will be available at the show, as some of the biggest breeders in the country will be here. Tickets are $10 (cash only) at the door or $8 if purchased online.

Brewhouse Jazz Night

When: Saturday, February 2 from 9 p.m. to midnight

Where: The Borough Brewhouse, 208 York Road, Jenkintown

The Borough Brewhouse is hosting a NEW live music series! The first musical guests will be Jenkintown’s Alex Bartlett. Alex’s Trio will be performing two smooth sets at 9:30 p.m. and 10:30 p.m. No cover charge!

WinterFest at Briar Bush Nature Center

When: Sunday, February 3 from 1 p.m. to 4p.m.

Where: 1212 Edgehill Road, Abington

Got cabin fever? Visit the Briar Bush Nature Center for some snowy fun with the family. There will be winter-themed activities, games, animal programs and more. This event is free!
