Stand-Up Comedy at Act II Playhouse

When: Friday, February 22 and Saturday, February 23 from 8 p.m. to 10 p.m.

Where: 56 E. Butler Avenue, Ambler

Get ready to laugh! Act II Playhouse presents two nights of live comedy. Friday night’s headliner is Coleman Green featuring Gene Norris. Saturday night’s headliner is Mary Radzinski featuring Marc Kaye. Emcees for the events, Hayden Moncada (Friday) and Richard Lewis (Saturday) are both Act II Stand-Up Comedy Alumni. Tickets are $20 and can be purchased online here.

Winter Chores & Treats at Peter Wentz Farmstead

When: Saturday, February 23 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Where: 2030 Shearer Road, Lansdale

The PA Germans celebrated Fastnacht Day by using some of the indulgent ingredients in the kitchen, such as butter, sugar, eggs, and potatoes to produce yummy Fastnachts, or fried potato donuts.  Visit Peter Wentz Farmstead to watch hearth cook Deborah Peterson make these and other pre-Lenten treats in the Summer Kitchen. There will even be some to share.  But work on the farm never stops, so there will also be demonstrations of typical winter activities- preserving meat for long-term storage using the smokehouse, splitting wood for fires, and farm tours.

The Big King of Prussia Bridal Showcase & Expo

When: Sunday, February 24 from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m.

Where: Sheraton Valley Forge, 480 N. Gulph Road, King of Prussia

Funky Brunch & Market at The Ardmore Music Hall: Mardi Gras Edition

When: Sunday, February 24 from 10:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Where: 23 East Lancaster Avenue, Ardmore

Funky Brunch & Market is an indoor craft and vendor fair featuring a variety of local vendors, brunch menu and live music. This weekend’s event has a Mardi Gras theme and will feature live music from Bickel Brothers Band and Mixed People as well as face painting by The Mudroom Studio. Admission is free.
