Tis the season for festive fun! From here until the New Year, we’re seeing tons of events for holiday fun. Our Weekend Picks this week include holiday shopping event, opportunities to see Santa, a decorating demonstration, and more. Skippack Village Holiday Open House

When: Friday and Saturday, November 15 and 16 from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m.
Where: Skippack Pike, Skippack

Skippack Village is kicking off the holiday season with a Village-wide open house. Shops will stay open until 9 p.m. on Friday and Saturday night. Look forward to seasonal items and special offers.

Welcome Santa Parade at Coventry Mall

When: Friday, November 15 at 6:30 p.m.
Where: 351 W. Schuylkill Road, Pottstown

Santa will make his grand entrance via fire truck at 6:30 p.m! To celebrate his arrival, there will be a parade and then 5 x 7 photos will be available for $12.99. Santa will then be at the mall throughout the holiday season.

Mother of Divine Providence Holiday Craft Show

When: Saturday, November 16 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Where: Mother Teresa Regional Catholic School, 405 Allendale Road, King of Prussia

This annual event features over 130 vendors with homemade items and baked goods. There will also be a full café of delicious items to eat, media booth, White Elephant, religious items, children’s games and more.

Story Time with Santa at Montgomery Mall

When: Saturday, November 16 from 9:30 a.m. to 10 a.m.
Where: 230 Montgomery Mall, North Wales

The North Wales Library is presenting a special Story Time with an appearance by Santa. Enjoy a holiday story in the Sears Court.

Christmas with The First Ladies – Meet Author and Designer Coleen Burke

When: Saturday, November 16 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Where: Bloomingdale’s, Willow Grove Park Mall, 2500 W. Moreland Road, Willow Grove

Get in the holiday spirit and gather tons of decorating inspiration this Saturday morning at Willow Grove Bloomingdale’s. Former White House Holiday Designer and author of “Christmas with the First Ladies” Coleen Christian Burke will be visiting the store to share tips and demonstrate how America’s house is transformed into a winter wonderland. She’ll be showcasing First Lady Christmas design, color stories and crafts!

Enjoy the complimentary hot cocoa bar and learn how to decorate your home like the First Ladies. This event is completely free, but seating is limited. RSVP to save your spot at this link.

Harvest Fest at Elmwood Park Zoo

When: Saturday and Sunday, November 16 and 17 from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m.
Where: 1661 Harding Boulevard, Norristown

It’s the final weekend of this fall celebration at Elmwood Park Zoo! Participate in themed activities, navigate your way through a corn maze, play games and sip on festive fall drinks. Silly Joe Sings will be performing on Saturday, Danielle & Jennifer will perform on Sunday.

Harry Potter: Wizards Unite Celebration at King of Prussia Mall

When: Sunday, November 17 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Where: Savor Food Court in the Mall, 160 N. Gulph Road, King of Prussia

Wands up! Bring the entire family to a Harry Potter: Wizards Unite Community Day. There will be magical activities, photo booths, games, prizes, giveaways and more. This is a free, non-ticketed event.

Frozen Pizza & Painting Party at Bacco Restaurant

When: Sunday, November 17 from 11 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
Where: 587 Dekalb Pike, North Wales

Children of all ages are invited to this pizza and canvas painting party to celebrate the release of Frozen II. Registration is $30 and includes pizza, drinks and all the supplies needed to create their own 11” x 14” Frozen masterpiece. Parent guidance is encouraged. Paints are washable but a smock or spare t-shirt is recommended. Call Victoria at 267-467-8297 to register.
