Boo Just For You

When: Friday, October 11 from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.
Where: Elmwood Park Zoo, 1661 Harding Blvd, Norristown

This sneak preview of the regularly scheduled Boo at the Zoo event (which starts the next day) is specially geared for guests with special needs, and their families and caregivers. This is a great opportunity to experience and enjoy Boo at the Zoo in a more relaxed setting, perfect for those with sensory sensitivity. Kids can walk the zoo and participate in treat stations, animal meet-and-greets, and more! The animal care staff will start to close down for the evening during this time, so kids can also get a firsthand look at what happens with the animals each night.

Full Moon Hayride & Fall Fest

When: Friday, October 11 from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m.
Where: Pennypack Ecological Restoration Trust, 2955 Edge Hill Road, Huntingdon Valley

Back for its second year, this fall festival features live music, guided trail walks, s’mores and more! There will be beer by Crooked Eye Brewery in Hatboro and bratwurst and hotdogs available for purchase. The first hayride starts at 5 p.m. They will run until 8 p.m. and cost $10 for adults and $5 for children.

Boo at the Zoo

When: Saturdays and Sundays in October, starting October 12 from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m.
Where: Elmwood Park Zoo, 1661 Harding Blvd, Norristown

Explore the Elmwood Park Zoo in costume, collect treats at stations throughout the zoo, and enter the costume contest! This event is free with zoo admission. The zoo itself is open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Hatboro-Horsham High School Fall Craft Show

When: Saturday, October 12 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Where: 899 Horsham Road, Horsham

Get a headstart on your holiday shopping! This popular annual event features over 100 vendors.

Montgomery Township Autumn Festival

When: Saturday, October 12 from 12 to 5 pm
Where: Windlestrae Park, 1147 Kenas Rd, North Wales

Annual fall festival sponsored by Montgomery Township. A wide variety of activities for all ages including amusements, hayrides, a petting zoo, pumpkin decorating, scarecrow making, crafters and food vendors.

Winetober Fest

When: Saturday, October 12 from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m.
Where: Skippack Village

Celebrate 10 years of food and wine! Grab your friends and enjoy unlimited samplings plus a day filled with live bands, shopping, contests and giveaways. Get your ticket here.

Conshohocken Beer Festival

When: Saturday, October 12 from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.
Where: A.A. Garthwaite Stadium, East 11th and Harry Street, Conshohocken

More than 50 breweries will be participating (plus a few PA wineries, cideries and a meadery). Tickets are $50.00 for general admission and $15.00 for designated drivers. General admission ticket provides a cup to sample the beers. The event is a benefit for the Conshohocken Plymouth Whitemarsh Rotary and is managed by More Than the Curve. Get tickets here.
