Montgomery County Community College Drive-In Movie: Aladdin
When: Friday, September 13 at 5:30 p.m. (movie starts at dusk)
Where: 340 DeKalb Pike, Blue Bell
Take a drive into the past and enjoy a drive-in movie with your family! This is the 2019 live action version of Aladdin. Parking lot off Cathcart Road opens at 5:30 p.m. The movie starts at dusk. Chick-fil-A and Kona Ice will have concessions for sale before and during the movie. Entry is $10 per car or free with MCCC ID. Cash only.
Oaks PA Reptile Expo
When: Saturday, September 14 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Where: Greater Philadelphia Expo Center, 100 Station Avenue, Oaks
Calling all Reptile Lovers! Vendors from across the county will be selling quality live reptiles, amphibians, arachnids, food items, supplies, books, cages and more at deeply discounted prices. Purchase tickets for $8 online or $10 at the door.
Retro Con 2019
When: Saturday, September 14 from 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. and Sunday, September 15 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Where: Greater Philadelphia Expo Center, 100 Station Avenue, Oaks
Retro Con is a nostalgia-oriented convention featuring 54,000 square feet of pop culture fun! There will be 200+ tables of toys, collectibles, games, art and more! Plus special guests, costume contests, trivia & karaoke contests, panels, raffle prizes, replica tv/movie cars, and much more! Admission on Saturday is $20, admission on Sunday is $15, or pre-purchase a weekend ticket for $25! Kids 12 and under get into Retro Con for FREE with paying adult! Purchase tickets here.
Pike Fest
When: Saturday, September 14 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Where: Lower Gwynedd Township, Bethlehem Pike, Spring House
Pike Fest showcases and celebrates the Lower Gwynedd Community and the businesses on Bethlehem Pike, many of which will offer Pike Fest specials and other promotions to entice event goers. The event also includes music, the Wissahickon HS Marching Band, local artisans, amusements for the kids, food trucks, and more. The event kicks off at 8 am with a 5K through the streets and trails of Lower Gwynedd.
Jenkintown Festival of the Arts 2019
When: Sunday, September 15 from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m.
Where: Town Square, Greenwood Avenue, Jenkintown
This family-friendly day of fun will feature two stages of live music, over 100 artists, local merchants, a student art show, kids’ court, brew fest, food trucks, and more.
