Peanut

Home at Last - Peanut
Hi there. My name is Peanut (Pitbull mix). Don’t let the name fool you…I am a good size boy, weighing in at 80 pounds. I am a strong boy and will pull at times on the leash to explore, but that is because I am blind and want to know what that smell is! I am an older gentleman, around 11 years old per the shelter. I was surrendered to the shelter by my owners due to a lifestyle/household change, along with my brother Miget. I am a very pleasant, calm boy, content to sit by your side, take a nap, chew a bone, take a nap…can you tell I like to nap! My favorite napping spot is in the chair with my foster mom…its a squeeze to get in there, but I make it work. I am housebroken and crate trained. I am good with other dogs…don’t really pay them much mind. I would do best in a home with older children -I’m a bigger boy and I may knock the wiggly children over. As for being blind, my foster mom says that I amaze her with my ability to navigate the house and find things like the back door and water dish. My foster mom also says that I am a pleasure to have around!

Ever think about fostering a dog in need? Home At Last Dog Rescue needs fosters!
They need volunteers to foster dogs in their homes until permanent homes are found. HAL provides vet care, food, toys. crates, etc. for the dog you are caring for. You provide love, and compassion. If you can’t foster but can help watch a dog overnight here and there, help with transports or events, HAL needs volunteers too! Just email homeatlastdogrescue@yahoo.com for more information on how you can make a difference in a homeless pet’s life!
