Purchased in 2000 by Art and Jane Berger, the Wooden Duck Shop has kept their historic roots intact by offering an amazing level of customer service combined with a store full of products that everyone can relate to. Art and Jane are not your typical owners, and we mean that in the best way possible! The two long time Skippack enthusiasts have always supported the many businesses that reside in Montco’s most charming, and now very happening small town. Art has always worked with his fellow shop owners to host community events and fundraisers, all to help the local areas that he is so proud to be a part of. Art and Jane believe that more of Montgomery County should see and experience the new and exciting things that are happening in Skippack, and we couldn’t agree with them more. As one of the longest tenured businesses in town the Wooden Duck Shop is looking forward to showing you their brand new baby boutique, and of course their wide array of gifts, collectibles and clothing that has made them one of the best one stop shops to visit in our county.

Open seven days a week, visiting customers are very likely to find both owners working on the shop and greeting each customer that walks through the doors. You might even be welcomed by Sophie, Wooden Duck’s newest and smallest four legged employee! Art and Jane are incredibly proud of their boutique and the small town it resides in, and after fifteen successful years of bringing quality products to our local shoppers, that pride goes without saying. Within the historic shop walls, Art & Jane have created a fun and relaxed environment for their customers. Jane takes extreme care coordinating the setup in the store, and has placed merchandise in beautiful and eye catching displays for customers to easily peruse. The new “Little Ducklings Baby Boutique” is entirely dedicated to infant clothing, gifts and accessories. With an enormous selection to choose from, the Wooden Duck has become the perfect place to visit for new and expecting parents to be. Quality made and cute as can be, the baby boutique has onesie’s, shoes, blankets, clothing, picture frames, and even teething necklaces and bracelets for babies, and that’s just for starters! They carry a huge variety of nostalgic childhood favorites like classic toys, trinkets and books. Shel Silverstein’s “Light in the Attic“, they have it! “Goodnight Moon” by Margaret Brown, in stock! Thanks to Jane and Art’s keen eye, the dynamic duo has filled their store with childhood memories that can be taken home. Gifts that our residents can now pass on to the next generation!
