It was recently and thankfully brought to our attention and we won’t mention names, Amanda Geronikos, that a group of residents is hosting a Cabaret Fundraiser for Rachel Moyer. Rachel is a 9 y/o girl from Pennsburg who was diagnosed with cancer earlier this year. In the midst of the Moyer family’s battle with childhood cancer, the local community, family and friends have all rallied to show their support for young Rachel by hosting a Cabaret Fundraiser at Playcrafters in Skippack. Please share this article with as many friends and family as you can, the more awareness we can spread the better. Let’s help Rachel and the Moyer family get all the support they need Montco! More Info: Why A Fundraiser?
March 1st, 2013 really changed the course of normal for the Moyer family of Pennsburg, PA. One of their 9 year old triplets, Rachel Moyer, was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML). AML is a cancer of the myeloid line of blood cells, characterized by the rapid growth of abnormal white blood cells that accumulate in the bone marrow and interfere with the production of normal blood cells. Her immune system can not be compromised and the chemo therapy makes her weak. A bone marrow transplant will be scheduled in the near future. Check out the Fundraiser event page by clicking here.
Today, Rachel spends the majority of her time in the hospital. Her parents are continually making visits as well as spending a lot of money on medical bills. This makes it extremely difficult on the entire family including their other 5 children. The cabaret, along with a golf outing will raise support for their much needed funds to assist Rachel during this difficult time.
