Greater Philadelphia Spring Home Show

When: Friday, January 4 from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m., Saturday, January 5 from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Sunday, January 6 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Where: Valley Forge Casino Resort, 1160 First Avenue, King of Prussia

Find experts, inspiration and more! Whether it’s a minor renovation or a major remodel, the Home Show’s goal is to inspire, motivate and excite you for your upcoming home improvement. Talk to experts, take advantage of show-only discounts, view product demonstrations and more. Admission is $10 at the door, or you can print free passes here. Free parking.

Folding Book Art Class at Taylor’s Lighthouse Book Nook

When: Saturday, January 5 from 1 p.m. to 2:30 p.m.

Where: 220 S. York Road, Hatboro

Visit Taylor’s Lighthouse Book Nook for an hour and a half of folding book art and lots of freebies. Learn how to re-purpose a book by transforming it into art. The registration fee is $15 and includes all materials for your book art including a “Love” template, ruler and book. Seating is limited, so be sure to register online. Pre-pay online and receive a 10% discount.

Weekend Power House at Bounce U

When: Saturday, January 5 from 4:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. and Sunday, January 6 from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m.

Where: 130 W. Main Street, Collegeville

Let the kids burn off some energy! All ages are welcome. Parents and children must wear socks. $9.90 per child. Reserve your space here.

Jazz Vespers at St. John’s Lutheran Church

When: Sunday, January 6 at 7 p.m.

Where: 24 N. Ridge Avenue, Ambler

Jazz Vespers is an inspirational, informal, and FREE community event, held on the first Sunday of every month at 7 pm. It’s a spectacular opportunity to jam, swing, rock, and sing surrounded by friends, family, and amazing music. There is nothing in the area like Jazz Vespers at St. John’s, led by the multi-talented Mr. Jim Holton, featuring up-and-coming talent, famous jazz legends, and even you (you’re welcome to sit in and jam, please arrive half an hour early).
