Trails on Tap: Norristown Riverfront Park

When: Thursday and Friday from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m., Saturday from 1 p.m. to 10 p.m. and Sunday from noon to 10 p.m.
Where: 1 Haws Avenue, Norristown

Trails on Tap brings a pop-up beer garden to different Montgomery County parks this summer. Stop by to relax in chairs and hammocks while enjoying beer from Mainstay Independent Brewery and delicious food. On Saturday and Sunday, from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m., you can try out a kayak from Take It Outdoors Adventures or ride a bike supplied by Riverbend Cycles. A portion of all proceeds from Trails on Tap will benefit the nonprofit Schuykill River Greenways and be reinvested toward protecting the river and expanding the Schuylkill River Trail.

First Friday Night in Skippack Village

When: Friday, August 2 from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m.
Where: Skippack Village

Enjoy dinner at one of Skippack’s fine restaurants and then take a relaxing stroll down the streets of the historic village to shop many of the unique boutiques that will be open – take your time! Shops and restaurants will be open as musicians, artists and family entertainers will dot the sidewalks, porches, and businesses throughout the village. This Friday will feature Bluegrass music.

First Friday on the Hill

When: Friday, August 2 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.
Where: Germantown Avenue, Chestnut Hill

Shop, dine and unwind with extended store hours in Chestnut Hill. Stop in the Chestnut Hill Welcome Center for free popcorn. Check out the kid activities at Busy Bee Toys, Villavillekula and Zipf’s Candies. Enjoy live music at the Top of the Hill Plaza.

Ambler Dog Days of Summer

When: Saturday, August 3 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Where: Ambler Main Street, 81 E. Butler Avenue, Ambler

Dog Lovers unite! Ambler will open its doors to the pooches in your life with a day of fun, tricks and contests. There will be a parade at 10 a.m. with prizes awarded for a number of categories.

Concert Under the Stars: Trout Fishing in America with Swamp Ash

When: Sunday, August 4 from 6 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.
Where: Upper Merion Township Building Park, 175 W. Valley Forge Road, King of Prussia

Enjoy a free concert under the stars! You can bring outside food, but alcohol isn’t permitted. There will be a beer garden hosted by Workhorse Brewing Company that opens at 5.
