Ahh yes, the moment many of us in MontCo have been waiting for, the start of Eagles talk! With the commencement of training camp and the pre-season, most Eastern Pennsylvanians begin getting excited this time of year. However, if anyone’s been following the off-season roster moves, this season in-particular is shaping up to be a fantastic one. In fact, experts have even begun calling the 2011 Philadelphia Eagles the “Dream Team” and “The Miami Heat of the NFL.” Watch out Giants and Cowboys fans!
There have been so many great pick-ups this offseason by the Eagles, we don’t have enough room in this article to cover them all. To quickly summarize, the Eagles signed two-time Pro Bowl quarterback Vince Young, former Miami Pro Bowl running back Ronnie Brown, three-time Pro Bowl cornerback Nnamdi Asomugha, former Arizona cardinal cornerback Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie, former Green Bay defensive lineman Cullen Jenkins, former Titan Jason Babin, and a few promising rookies.
With Eagles tickets in high demand this season, we suggest checking out the new team at training camp. Open to the public, training camp takes place at Lehigh University through August 16th. As an added bonus to getting a sneak preview of the Eagles, some fans will be able to get autographs at training camp depending on the ticket number they receive. On August 6th from 8-11AM, Teva Pharmaceuticals presents “Health and Safety Day” at the training camp. Attendees will “learn valuable information on personal health, hydration techniques, and how to stay safe with the help of the Bethlehem Fire and Police Departments. Families attending will have the opportunity to visit a number of interactive booths, from massage stations to natural tea tasting, all which address health issues and offer useful tips.”
Below is the official Camp Practice and Autograph Schedule. For more information, please visit the Philadelphia Eagles Website. E-A-G-L-E-S, EAGLES!
