An exciting event is happening on the border of Montgomery County, and it’s all for a great cause! You are formally invited to Phoenixville’s premier food+wine+beer+festival that will be taking place on Thursday, January 16, 2014 from 6-10pm at the Phoenixville Foundry. A Taste of Phoenixville, now in its 12th year, raises funds for the Good Samaritan Shelter which provides transitional housing and supportive services to homeless men in the Phoenixville area. This event is the largest and most important fundraiser of the year for the Shelter. Over 25 local restaurants will be serving up some of their best dishes to the more than 600 people who are expected to pack one of the coolest venues in our region for a night of giving back, and we hope you can join!
The event will feature live music and dancing, an auction and all the fine food you can eat. Tickets are on sale for $85 (more at the door), and ample parking is available for all attending guests.
The Phoenixville Foundry, located at 2 Main St. in Phoenixville, is the newest and largest special event place in neighboring Chester County with 18,000 square feet of flexible event space. Once the site of the Phoenix Iron and Steel Company, Phoenixville Foundry is a unique blend of Richardson-Romanesque-Style industrial charm and interior modern amenities that add an elegant sophistication to every occasion.
To purchase tickets and for more information about the event go to www.tasteofphoenixville.com or call the Good Samaritan Shelter office at 610-933-9305.
