In the very beginning, the Artisans Nest gift shop was located in a small, renovated chicken coop tucked away in Skippack, thus brining a whole new meaning to the words, “small business”. It was the dream of owner Debbie DiPaolo to do what she loved in a town she considered to be home, no matter how cramped the space. Well, since those humble beginnings, Debbie has not only moved shops but emerged as a must stop location for handmade crafts and gifts. Her rapid growth can be attributed to the passion she has for providing quality, handmade artisan pieces for our Montgomery County residents.

Debbie’s business began to grow in popularity thanks to her artful eye and welcoming personality, and it continues to do so to this day! Her now beautiful shop, located directly across from the Wooden Duck, is a personal reflection of her taste, style, and personality. In addition to custom made pottery, clothing and jewelry, the Artisans Nest also carries a huge variety of handmade mirrors, clocks and glass blown pieces.

You’ll find a diverse mix of local artisan pieces within this charming gift shop, and Debbie is proud to put the spotlight on the creators of each and every one of them. From Bucks County’s Sherry Tinsman to the wonderful creations of Michelle Ciarlo-Hayes of Elkins Park, one of a kind enamel tile work from Jenn Bell of Scranton, and local jewelry from artist j & i, out of Philadelphia. So many of the products you will find here come directly from the artists of our local communities. In addition to local products, the Nest also carries hard to find, intricate jewelry from all across the world. The store is truly an eclectic mix ofproducts that are definitely worth stopping in to see. The Artisans Nest serves as a homecoming for any resident who not only enjoys shopping locally, but who has a sincere appreciation for the beautiful aspects of hand made jewelry, clothing and gifts. Debbie personally seeks out the artists who create these works of art, and supports them by selling their creations in her one of a kind store.

The shop itself is an extension of her passion, and offers a display that will warm your heart and sense of style. Here you’ll find mostly hand made items from an exceptional group of artists that are passionate about what they do and whom the Artisans Nest and their customers have grown very fond of.
