Leap Day Celebration at Small Batch Kitchen Café & Market

When: Saturday, February 29 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Where: 711 W. Main Street, Lansdale

Small Batch Kitchen is celebrating the extra day with some extra smiles! There will be free samples, great deals, and the chance to win a raffle basket full of items to beat the mid-winter blues. Families can also paint rocks to place around the community to spread some happiness.

Annual Celebration of Black History at Upper Merion Township Library

When: Saturday, February 29 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Where: 175 W. Valley Forge Road, King of Prussia

Come to the library for a special day of exhibitions and programs that explore Black History. From 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., there will be kids craft and activities. From 11 a.m. to noon, take a journey through the life of Sojourner Truth.  From noon to 1:15, enjoy soul food samples. And from 1:15 to 2:30, sing and dance along as Key Arts band performs blues music. There will be vendors, jewelry, clothing and crafts all day long.

Family Fun Carnival Day at Coventry Mall

When: Saturday, February 29 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Where: 351 W. Schuylkill Road, Pottstown

Enjoy a fun afternoon of games and more! There will be games set up to win prizes with tickets costing 5 for $1. There will also be vendors, balloon twisting, face painting, carnival food for sale and more.

Read Across America at Elmwood Park Zoo

When: Saturday, February 29 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Where: 1661 Harding Boulevard, Norristown

Read Across America is a nationally-celebrated event that aims to motivate reading among children of all ages. There will be a Book Fair, story readings, animal guests, and more. Plus, The Cat in the Hat and author Jerry Spinelli will be making appearances! This event is free to attend with zoo admission. Click here for a schedule of activities.

Beer and Girl Scout Cookie Pairing at Iron Hill Brewery

When: Saturday, February 29 from noon to 5 p.m.
Where: 785 Huntingdon Pike, Huntingdon Valley

In celebration of National Girl Scout Cookie Weekend, enjoy a sampler of 4 Iron Hill beers and 4 Girl Scout cookies. There will also be special prizes for King of the Hill members.

Dr. Seuss Day at Uno

When: Sunday, March 1 at 10 a.m. and noon
Where: 106 Black Rock Road, Oaks

Uno Pizzeria is celebrating all things Seuss-ical! There will be two seating – brunch from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. and lunch from noon to 2 p.m. Reservations are required. Families are seated at their own reserved table in the dining room and will have easy access to the adult supervised craft and coloring table. At the designated time, everyone will be brought into the private party room for story time and photos with the Cat in the Hat and a book raffle.  Get more details here.
