Martha

Home at Last - Martha

Hello!  My name is Martha, and I’m a very friendly 2-year-old Pit Bull mix who was found roaming the streets of Philadelphia before making my way to Home at Last.  I’m deaf, but please don’t let that scare you away!  I spent a month working with a trainer who used a special collar to teach me to respond to commands.  My foster family is teaching me to use hand signals, as well, and they’ve found that they don’t have to treat me much different than their own dog, who can hear.  I weigh 40 or so pounds and am spayed, housebroken and crate-trained.  I get along great with other dogs as well as my foster family’s children, and would do best in a house without cats.

Ever think about fostering a dog in need? Home At Last Dog Rescue needs fosters!
They need volunteers to foster dogs in their homes until permanent homes are found. HAL provides vet care, food, toys. crates, etc. for the dog you are caring for. You provide love, and compassion. If you can’t foster but can help watch a dog overnight here and there, help with transports or events, HAL needs volunteers too! Just email homeatlastdogrescue@yahoo.com for more information on how you can make a difference in a homeless pet’s life!
