Are you looking for a fun family event in Montgomery County, PA to take the kids to for Halloween? Quakertown Farmers Market is having a Halloween extravaganza on Saturday October 29th. It’s going to be a fun day for the entire family, INCLUDING YOUR PETS! First there is trick or treating for the kids. After you’re done trick or treating you can watch OR participate in their 19th annual Halloween Costume Contest. Finally, there is actually a Best Dressed Pet Contest! Your pet can win a prize too. 🙂 Below are all of the details you’ll need to have a great time this Halloween at the Quakertown Farmers Market.
Halloween Trick or Treating
Halloween trick or treating will be going starting at 1pm on Saturday October 29th. Trick or treaters will parade through the entire market and all participating vendors will be handing out yummy treat! Residents of all ages are welcome to attend and come trick or treating at the Quakertown Farmers Market.
19th Annual Costume Contest
Also on Saturday October 29th at 1pm Quakertown Farmers Market will hold it’s 19th annual Costume Contest. The contest will start immediately following the 1pm Trick or Treating. This way you can participate in both! Costumes will be judged based on originality and cleverness! Prizes will be handed out to the winner of each category including a $250 market buck grand prize! There are 4 categories based on age ranges:
- 0-5 years of age
- 6-12 years of age
- 13-17 years of age
- Family group
Best Dressed Pet Contest
Quakertown Farmers Market’s 8th annual Best Dressed Pet Contest will start immediately following the Halloween Costume Contest. This year’s contest is sponsored by Fins, Feathers, Paws, & Claws – The Market’s Pet Department. Gift certificate prizes will be awarded by the pet store for 1st place and runner up!
