Apple Cider Punch

When Labor Day Weekend concludes and fall unofficially begins, the first thought that races through my mind is “where is the apple cider?!”  I realize you can now buy apple cider throughout the year, but I prefer to only consume this delicious beverage when in season.  I recently came across a recipe for Apple Cider Punch.  With just a few fruity ingredients and a 5 minute prep time, I thought why not give it a try.  This turned out to be one of the wisest decisions I have made in the past few months, as the Punch is now my new fall drink of choice.

Below is the recipe I used (cranberry-raspberry, non-alcoholic version to be specific).  Let us know your thoughts and what version you like best!

Ingredients

  • 6 cups apple cider
  • 2 cups orange juice, cranberry-raspberry juice, or orange-mango juice
  • 1/2 cup lemon juice
  • 1 750-ml bottle sparkling white grape juice or sparkling wine
Directions

1. In punch bowl, large pitcher, or pitchers combine apple cider, orange juice, and lemon juice. Slowly add sparkling white grape juice or sparkling wine. Serve immediately.

2. For an adult punch, use chilled champagne in place of the sparkling grape juice.
