Lady P’s First Day: Back to School Book Launch

When: Friday, August 28 from noon to 1:30 p.m.
Where: Lansdale Public Library, 301 Vine Street, Lansdale

Come to the Lansdale Library for an outdoor book launching party. There will be free food, a school supply giveaway, and a guest appearance from Read-A-Bot (Reading Recycled Mascot). They will also be collecting gently used children’s books for Reading Recycled! Please feel free to donate a used book or two. The event will be held outside with hand sanitizing stations available. Please wear your mask and practice safe social distancing.

Lady P’s First Day introduces readers to a little girl who’s entering kindergarten. She’s waited so long for her moment to go to school, and now her time has come. Conshohocken Movie Night in the Park: Toy Story 4

When: Friday, August 28 at approx. 8 p.m.
Where: Sutcliffe Park, W. 10th Avenue and Freedly Street, Conshohocken

Bring your chairs and blankets for this family movie night under the stars.

Cars & Coffee Presented by Front Street Media

When: Saturday, August 29 from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m.
Where: 100 Tournament Drive, Horsham

Shine up those cars and help fill up Front Street Media’s massive parking lot with killer cars! All makes and models are welcome. Enjoy free donuts and coffee while you enjoy the views. Bring your mask.

Jim Breuer Headlines SoulJoel’s Comedy Club & Lounge Ampitheater

When: Saturday, August 29 at 6 p.m.
Where: 155 Railroad Plaza, Royersford

This is an added second night show after Friday night’s show sold out. So buy your tickets ASAP! Bring your own food, tents, chairs, etc. Everyone is socially distanced in their own pods. Tickets are $25.

Yoga for Change

When: Sunday, August 30 from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m.
Where: Ambler Yards, 300 Brookside Avenue, Ambler

Experience a 1-hour yoga class for all levels. 100% of the proceeds will go toward “We Rise” – a college scholarship fun for under-served African American students at Wissahickon High School (where the instructor teaches).
