Erica Campbell & Friends Help 2.0
June 26, 2015
Keswick Theatre
291 N. Keswick Ave, Glenside, PA 19038
8:00 PM
Eclectic, compelling, and at times risky, Erica Campbell consistently stays true her foundation while continuing to push the boundaries of Gospel music. After a lifetime and 13 years of professionally singing with sister Tina, in 2014, Erica Campbell took the ultimate leap of faith into the unchartered waters of a solo career and the release of a debut solo album.
HELP immediately shot to the top of the Billboard Charts. Generating both critical and consumer acclaim, the first single “A Little More Jesus,” was nominated in 2013 for a Grammy Award for “Best Gospel Song.” The album went on to generate several more awards and accolades including winning the 2014 Grammy Award for Best Gospel Album; 2014 Soul Train Award for Best Gospel/Inspirational Song (“Help”) and the 2014 Dove Award for Traditional Song of the Year (“A Little More Jesus”). Campbell went on to dominate the 2015 Stellar Music Awards, where she earned 10 nominations and won 8 Awards including top honors for Artist of the Year; CD of the Year and Female Vocalist of the Year.
Erica’s faith resonates throughout the album that is everything that one’s art should be – an honest portrayal of real life. Erica’s art AND heart is her music and the end result is a compelling impressive body of work that is both passionate and meaningful.
