Cairnwood By Candlelight at Cairnwood Estate
When: Friday, December 14 at 7 p.m.
Where: 1005 Cathedral Rd, Huntingdon Valley
Explore historic Cairnwood at its most sparkling time of year. Kick off the holiday season with yuletide desserts and refreshments served in candlelight, festive Christmas trees and décor throughout, and a special exhibition, Three Generations of Cairnwood Fashions.
Cost: $25 per person, Cairnwood members half price. Limited tickets available, call 215-947-2004 for reservations.
Winterfest
When: Now through December 22, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Fridays and 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturdays
Where: King of Prussia Town Center, 155 Village Drive, King of Prussia
This holiday season, the King of Prussia Town Center will offer free family fun every Friday night and Saturday afternoon. This weekend’s theme is “Magic of the Season.” There will be ice sculpture carving and a magic show on Saturday and Sunday with music entertainment by B101 on Friday night and live entertainment on Saturday. There will also be tasty treats both days.
Home Alone at The Ambler Theater
When: Saturday, December 15 from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
Where: 108 E. Butler Avenue, Ambler
The Ambler Theater is hosting a Saturday morning showing of this holiday classic. Bring the whole family to watch Home Alone on the big screen. Tickets are $5 for adults and $3 for kids. (Members and their kids are free.)
Chestnut Hill Community Holiday Parade
When: Saturday, December 15 from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m.
Where: Germantown Avenue
Line up along Germantown Avenue to wave to the marchers in the Annual Chestnut Hill Community Parade! There will be teams, Scouts, musical groups and more.
Santa at Merrymead Farm
When: Saturday and Sunday, December 15 and 16 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Where: 2222 S. Valley Forge Road, Lansdale
Visit Merrymead Farm this weekend for free pictures with Santa! (Bring your own camera.) While you’re there, be sure to pick up some of Merrymead’s old fashioned eggnog. And December’s ice cream specials are peppermint stick and eggnog. Merrymead also offers fresh cut, local Christmas trees.
