Night Life – Fall & Winter at the Wentz House

When: Friday, November 9 at 7:30 p.m.

Where: Peter Wentz Farmstead, 2030 Shearer Road, Lansdale, PA

What happened at the Wentz House after the sun went down? Come explore night time in the 1700s and what it meant for residents of a home like the Wentz Family’s. Tours will leave at 7:30, 7:50, 8:10 and 8:30 and are suitable for visitors over the age of 12. To register, call (610) 584-5104.

Playcrafters Presents “You’re A Good Man, Charlie Brown”

When: Friday, November 9 at 8 p.m. and Saturday, November 10 at 8 p.m. (more shows the following weekend)

Where: Playcrafters of Skippack, 2011 Store Road, Skippack, PA

The Peanuts comic strip comes to life in this musical by Clark Gesner. The entire family will enjoy this show featuring Charlie Brown and the gang. Tickets are $20 per person. Click here to order.

Thanksgiving Pie Tasting at Lochel’s Bakery

When: Saturday, November 10 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Where: Lochel’s Bakery, 57 S. York Road, Hatboro, PA

Try some pie! Stop by Lochel’s Bakery to sample several varieties of pie. And enjoy a free cup of coffee. Place an order for your Thanksgiving pie during the sampling event, and you’ll receive a free gift.

“Stove Plates and Franklin Stoves” lecture

When: Saturday, November 10 from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.

Where: Pottsgrove Manor, 100 W. King Street, Pottstown, PA

Learn about how some of the biggest names in colonial Pennsylvania history, Benjamin Franklin and John Potts, were connected through iron. This engaging lecture is presented by historian Dan Graham. Additionally, visitors can take guided tours of the manor to see original iron pieces cast at Warwick and learn more about the Potts family and household through the current exhibit “Good Night at the Manor.” The Museum Shop will also be open and full of unique gifts, 18th century replicas, books, and more. There is a suggested $2 donation per person.

Veterans Day Ceremony and Events

When: Sunday, November 11 at 11 a.m.

Where: Valley Forge National Historical Park, 1400 N. Outer Line Drive, King of Prussia, PA

Valley Forge National Historical Park will commemorate the Continental Army’s legacy and honor all of America’s military with special events throughout the day. The Commemoration Ceremony will take place at the National Memorial Arch, beginning at 11 a.m.
