It’s all for the kids! The Hogs and Honeys Valentine’s Benefit Party for Mission Kids is one of Montgomery County’s most talked about and celebrated annual fundraisers, and for good reason! Each year, thousands of our local residents head to the Valley Forge Casino and Resort for a night of live music, food vendors, drinks, prizes, photo op’s, and so much more. The yearly event was created to help raise money and awareness for Mission Kids, a local child care advocacy center.
The proud hosts of this happening party are none other than Sue and Sam Gardy of KickStart Motorcycles. Over the years they have managed to raise an enormous amount of money for sometimes abused and neglected local children, and they did it with the help from thousands of local supporters, volunteers and contributors. Collectively, they have all made it their duty to protect those who cannot protect themselves. To provide our children with safety, an open ear, a loving heart and all the resources, facilities and professional services they need.
Not only did last years party bring more than 1,00 people to the Valley Forge Casino Resort, it helped raise more than $30,000 for local children in need. However, we know that with your help the 2016 fundraiser will be the biggest and brightest yet. Tickets for this event go on sale in February but they go quick! More About Mission Kids
Mission Kids offers a comprehnsive, centrally located, multi-disciplinary team response to allegations of child abuse in a dedicated, child friendly setting to achieve justice for child victims and promote their physical and emotional well-being. Mission Kids also provides neutral, fact-finding forensic interviews 
hogs 5which are coordinated to avoid duplicative interviewing and supports Montgomery County’s approach to child abuse investigation and intervention. The criminal Justice system can be an intimidating and unfriendly place, even as an adult. But imagine what it is like for a child immersed in that frightening world because he or she has been the victim of abuse.
Without Mission Kids, the criminal justice process for these child victims may include multiple, lengthy interviews with varied individuals- police, councelors, law enforcement, attorneys that would force a child to recount and sometimes relive the traumic incidents from their young lives. Mission Kids has made it their life’s work to make sure these children are getting the attention and care they deserve and need.
