Guided tour through the handcrafted home and studio of Wharton Esherick, the ‘dean of American craftsmen.’ This National Historic Landmark for Architecture reflects Esherick’s artistic evolution from the Arts and Crafts, through Cubism and German Expressionism, to the Modernist free forms that characterized his later works. The Studio is filed with more than 200 of Esherick’s paintings, prints, sculpture, furniture and furnishings.Want to get tickets for this event and others like it at half-price? Sign up for Funsavers to get half-price ticket offers delivered to your email inbox each Thursday!
New this year will be children’s tours every Saturday at 11:00 a.m. Children have always enjoyed Wharton’s sense of play in ways that adults are often too serious to appreciate. With the exception of school tours, children have been forced to put up with all of the “boring stuff” that adults want from a tour instead of getting to enjoy the fun that the Museum has to offer. The children’s tours will be full of hands-on activities geared towards Wharton’s younger fans ages 5-12. Admission will be $6 for all visitors on these tours, but all adults must be accompanied by a child. Please call for reservations – space is limited. 610-644-5822
